The procedure is a little bit scary; however, I will guide you on how to do it step by step:-
- Visit Microsoft’s official site, and you will find the different subscriptions i.e.:- home and business.
- There are 4 types of business plans (Business Basic, Business, Standard, and Premium)
- We can choose the Microsoft 365 setup according to our requirements.
- Let’s suppose we choose the Business basic plan. However, all the steps we will do here will apply strictly to business, standard, and premium.
- Click on “Setup”
- Enter your name, business phone number, company, and country.
- Verify your phone number by choosing the ‘text me’ or ‘call me’ option
- If you don’t have a domain, then you can purchase from Microsoft.
- We have already purchased a domain, so we will choose the second option.
- We need to verify our domain ownership by copying the highlighted text. So we will refer you to the Cpanel page.
- Open your Domain registrar site:
Cpanel>Zone Editor>Add record (We are going to add a txt record in the DNS setting)
- Choose “txt” from the dropdown menu.
- Paste the copied highlighted text as on the Microsoft page.
- we should wait 4-5 minutes and then press “I’ve added text record”
- Now, create a username and password. (Also note down in hardcopy because you have to use it during the login)
- Last but not least, add your payment option and make a payment.
- Congratulations, your Microsoft 365 setup for the Business plan has been completed.
